If it seems to you like men with tattoos have the advantage at the bar, well that’s true. However, it’s not for the reasons you think. You see, a research recently probed into what women really think about men with tattoos. Yes, they confirmed what you suspected. It’s true, body ink does turn women on, but not because they are more attractive.
The reason is actually because tattoos is seen as a sign of higher levels of testosterone — which although might be good for a sex partner, it doesn’t necessarily translate into a better mate choice.
The result recently published online in Personality and Individual Differences shows that women didn’t rate men with tattoos as being more attractive, rather they were rated as having better health and also being aggressive, dominant and masculine.
